Worldstudio co-founder David Sterling’s epic, six-and-a-half pound, 576-page book, Yucatán: Recipes from a Culinary Expedition is the 2015 winner of two prestigious James Beard awards; Best International Cookbook and Cookbook of the Year. In addition to this accolade, David received the 2015 Art of Eating Prize for Best Food Book of the Year.

David left Worldstudio in 2003 to open Los Dos Cooking School in Meridá, Mexico and has become the foremost authority on the culinary traditions of the Yucatán.

Worldstudio principal, Mark Randall traveled with David on his research expeditions as team photographer to contribute photographs to Yucatán. David is currently hard at work on his next cookbook and Mark has made several trips to Mexico to document the research.
