Worldstudio launches Impact! Sessions a webinar series on social design in collaboration with the School of Visual Arts. The six sessions in the series, hosted by Mark Randall, will be broadcast on alternating Fridays in March and April.

January 29, 2013
Opening night of Seán Curran Company’s 15th Anniversary season at the Joyce Theater in New York. Mark Randall designed projected titles for “Fireweather or the Mission of Virgil” a dance piece by choreographer Seán Curran with music by contemporary composer Charles Wuorinen. The choreography and music are both inspired by Dante’s “Inferno.”

November 9, 2012
World premiere of “Travel Songs” at the Debartolo Performing Arts Center at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana. Mark Randall designed projections for “Travel Songs” an evening length work created by choreographer Seán Curran and the Seán Curran Company in collaboration with the Grammy Award winning acapella group The King’s Singers.

Mark Randall is included on the “Improves Quality of Urban Life” panel for Design: Just What the Heck Is It? event at the Center for Architecture in New York City in collaboration with the AIANY and presented in association with Archtober, Architecture and Design Month, New York City.

Mark Randall is the first speaker in the Fall 2012 Guest Lecture Series at the School of Visual Art’s MFA Design program.

Fall 2012
Mark Randall will be teaching at Fordham University for the fall semester. His class “Designing Social Change” will introduce students to social entrepreneurship and the execution of self-generated social change projects.

Mark will be moderating his panel discussion Commitment Required: The Social Design Job Market. The program is in conjunction with Impact! Design for Social Change, the School of Visual Arts, six-week summer intensive, for which Mark serves as Chair.

Mark will give a presentation and lead a workshop at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania on February 23. There will also be a two-week exhibition on Design Ignites Change in conjunction with Mark’s visit.
