Answering Adversity one image at a time

Worldstudio consulted on the mission, strategy and messaging for the Young Photographer’s Alliance, a new non-profit organization which supports emerging photographers. For the Alliance’s inaugural mentoring initiative, Answering Adversity, Worldstudio developed the concept and structure of the program along with the theme and supporting materials, such as outreach collateral and mentoring guides. Worldstudio then worked with the Alliance over the life of the project to ensure success. What follows is a story about the program and the impact it has had on the participants.

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom honors
The Urban Forest Project

After a week of rain, the sunny Saturday afternoon of January 23rd brought together a diverse group of designers, artists, high school students and business and civic leaders, along with residents from the Bayview community in San Francisco to celebrate the environment, education and public arts. The event, at the Bayview Opera House, was a sneak preview for The Urban Forest Project San Francisco, an exciting environmental, public arts and educational initiative being launched in celebration of Earth Day this year. Ed Reiskin, Director of the Department of Public Works, presented a proclamation for the project on behalf of Mayor Gavin Newsom.

Design Ignites Change empowers students

Worldstudio is proud to announce a new initiative, Design Ignites Change, a collaboration between Adobe Youth Voices and Worldstudio.

The annual program promotes and encourages talented high school and college students across the country to use design thinking and innovation to create solutions to, and messages, for pressing social problems.
