Urban Forest Project update

The Urban Forest Project banners hanging in Washington, DC and Tacoma, WA.

A series of 100 banners were recently installed in the heart of Washington, DC, the latest city to collaborate with Worldstudio on The Urban Forest Project. This innovative environmental, public arts initiative is being presented by District Department of Transportation (DDOT), in collaboration with AIGA DC, the Corcoran College of Art + Design, and the Downtown DC Business Improvement District.

Worldstudio partner joins Icograda board

Worldstudio partner, Andréa Pellegrino, recently accepted an invitation to join Icograda’s Executive Board (International Council of Graphic Design Associations) as a co-opted board member. Andrea’s experience in building strategic alliances, association marketing and developing socially responsible strategies and programming are of particular relevance to Icograda future direction and projects.

President Russell Kennedy welcomed her and observed that, “Andréa brings a wealth of experience in fostering strategic alliances and demonstrating the value of design, skills we anticipate will enable new initiatives and growth for Icograda.”

Answering Adversity one image at a time

Worldstudio consulted on the mission, strategy and messaging for the Young Photographer’s Alliance, a new non-profit organization which supports emerging photographers. For the Alliance’s inaugural mentoring initiative, Answering Adversity, Worldstudio developed the concept and structure of the program along with the theme and supporting materials, such as outreach collateral and mentoring guides. Worldstudio then worked with the Alliance over the life of the project to ensure success. What follows is a story about the program and the impact it has had on the participants.
